Each historical period presented in the “School Rules!” exhibition has a Braille plaque summarising the main features of education at that time.

Tactile viewing of exposed objects

The “School Rules!” permanent exhibition allows for a tactile viewing of some of the exhibited museum objects or their replicas. It is also equipped with audio content to provide blind visitors with a more comprehensive learning experience about the history of schools.

Adjustments for the deaf and hard of hearing

Portable hearing loop

A hearing loop is available to help hearing aid users follow the guided tour of the museum exhibition comfortably and smoothly.

Guided tours in Slovenian sign language

We offer guided tours accompanied by a Slovenian sign language interpreter (guided tours are carried out by prior arrangement).

Lesson with interpreter support

Taking part in a lesson from the past is a unique experience offered at the Slovenian School Museum. With the help of an interpreter, we have selected and adapted a historical lesson to make it suitable for people with hearing impairments. A Slovenian sign language interpreter participates in the lesson (lessons are carried out by prior arrangement).
