Statement on the protection of personal data
The Slovenian School Museum, as the data controller, hereby informs users of the personal data it collects, the purposes for which it collects such data and their rights in relation to it.
Who processes your personal data?
Slovenian School Museum, Plečnikov trg 1, 1000 Ljubljana (hereinafter referred to as SŠM) collects and processes personal data of users.
Purpose of personal data processing
Processing based on consent to the processing of personal data. SŠM collects users’ e-mail addresses for the purpose of informing them about the Museum’s events and other offer and for sending invitations to the Museum’s events. It uses personal data only for the purposes for which consent has been given.

How do we collect them?
Processing based on consent to the processing of personal data. The Museum collects users’ e-mail addresses on the basis of voluntary subscriptions to the newsletter on the Museum’s events and other offer and applications for activities organised by the Museum.
Individuals can register to receive information by completing the form on the www.solskimuzej.si website, by e-mail or by completing a handwritten registration form at the Museum. All valid applications must meet the following conditions: they must be voluntary, intelligible, given with an unequivocal affirmative action and verifiable.
How do we protect your data?
SŠM protects personal data carefully and in accordance with the laws and regulations (Personal Data Protection Act – ZVOP-1, Electronic Communications Act and EU General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).
Who do we share your data with?
SŠM does not share users’ personal data with third parties.
What are your rights?
At any time, users may request information about their personal data in the SŠM database, request the rectification of the data, file an objection, request the transfer of the data, the restriction of its processing or its deletion (withdrawal of consent). They may submit a data subject access request in several simple ways, as described below.
The user also has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the event of a breach of the General Data Protection Regulation.
How can I make a data subject access request?
The user can submit a request for information by e-mail to solski.muzej@guest.arnes.si, by post to the Slovenian School Museum, Plečnikov trg 1, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia, or by replying to our newsletter.
How long do we keep your data?
SŠM stores individual e-mail addresses until the user withdraws consent.
