Archive collection holds mainly private archival material handed over to the museum by teachers, pupils, students, or their heirs, who are aware of the importance of preserving the heritage of education for Slovenian school history. Other archival material, especially older items, has been added to the archive collection primarily out of concern for saving it from deterioration and destruction. This material also includes the two archival collections of teachers’ organisations: the Union of Slovenian Teachers’ Associations from the period before World War I and the Yugoslav Teachers’ Association from the post-World War I period.
