School Chronicle scientific journal gained international recognition by being added to Scopus
Since 1992, the Slovenian School Museum has been publishing the School Chronicle, a scientific journal dedicated to the history of education and pedagogy, as well as the diverse heritage of schooling and education. After many years of striving for substantive content and, especially in recent years with a strong focus on a scientific approach, we are honoured that the journal was added to the prestigious Scopus international bibliographic index in November 2025.
Widely recognised within the global scientific research community, the index is managed by the Dutch publishing corporation Elsevier. Interestingly, School Chronicle is the second scientific journal published by a Slovenian museum to be included in Scopus (alongside the Etnolog journal, published by the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum).
This achievement commits School Chronicle and us as its publisher to taking on additional responsibility for producing high-quality work and to connecting with various institutions at the national and international levels.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our previous authors and invite interested segments of the public to submit articles for publication in the journal.
Further information about the School Chronicle journal can be found on the dedicated website.
