School Chronicle 2024 published
The School Chronicle 2024 has been published in two volumes and three issues.
The first volume is thematic and is dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the promulgation of Maria Theresa’s General School Ordinance. It contains a translation of the General School Ordinance into modern Slovenian, a report on the events related to the commemoration of the 250th anniversary, and 7 academic articles that examine the General School Ordinance from various perspectives.

The second volume is a regular (double) issue containing 10 scientific papers on various topics from the school past, including four on the topic of education during the Austrian Empire, four from the first half of the 20th century, one from the second half of the 20th century relating to education in Croatia and being written in English, and one article on the topic of writing a school chronicle. The journal also contains 4 anniversary entries by renowned educators, 1 obituary, a report on the museum’s work in the past year, and 6 entries in the reports and evaluations section.

About the School Chronicle
School Chronicle: Journal for the History of Schooling and Education (ISSN: 1318-6728) is a scientific and professional journal published by the Slovenian School Museum. It deals with various aspects of the history of schooling, education and pedagogy. It publishes scientific articles, memoirs and testimonies (as historical sources), book reviews, conference and exhibition reports. The School Chronicle journal has its origins in the joint proceedings of the Yugoslav school museums in Ljubljana, Zagreb and Belgrade, which were first published in 1964. The independent journal has been published under its present title and within the framework of the Slovenian School Museum since 1992.
