Guide to the School Rules! permanent exhibition
6 eur available in the museum shop
The guide to the permanent exhibition, prepared at the Slovenian School Museum, brings selected content that reveals the paths of education in Slovenia through time, from prehistoric times to the present day.
With our permanent exhibition, School Rules!, we wish to emphasise that education has been based on legislation since at least the time of the ruler Maria Theresa, who nationalised education and issued the first national primary education law in 1774. At the same time, school is also an intertwining of many personal, unforgettable experiences and therefore, in the lingo of young people, it really rules! The guide to the permanent exhibition of the Slovenian School Museum contains an overview of all the thirteen historical periods, presenting the main historical features of the time in a picturesque and engaging way. For ease of presentation, an exhibition floor plan is included, and a neat timeline is added for an improved time representation. The guide also includes chapters on school architecture and on the classroom in the cloud.
You can upgrade your visit to the permanent exhibition with the Exhibition Guide, which will help you to explore education in Slovenia through the ages from the comfort of your own home!
