School Chronicle: Journal of the History of Schooling and Education is an open access journal. This means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

Except when otherwise noted, articles in the journal School Chronicle: Journal of the History of Schooling and Education are published under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0 International).
Authors retain moral copyright, but transfer to the publisher non-exclusively the following aspects of material copyright: the right to reproduce, including storage in electronic form; the right to distribute; the right to make it available to the public; right of adaptation. In any other non-exclusive agreements on the transfer of reproduction and distribution rights for their articles, the authors will include a statement that the work was first published in the journal School Chronicle.
Authors are allowed to deposit submitted, accepted, and published versions of their articles in institutional and other repositories without embargo.
The authors do not receive royalties or other compensation for the publication of the article.
The journal School Chronicle does not charge authors the costs of processing articles. Publication of articles is free.
