Exploring Heritage Through Play – free entry

The Slovenian School Museum and its unit, the Sports Museum, have joined the campaign EXPLORING HERITAGE THROUGH PLAY, within which Slovenian museums and galleries will offer free programmes for children and families.

We invite you to visit us from 7 to 11 October 2024!

Families can participate in the following activities free of charge:
From 7 to 11 October 2024:
• Visit of the exhibition “School Rules!”
• Visit of the exhibition “Collecting, Researching, Reviving: Sports heritage and the Sports Museum”
• 10 October at 5.15 pm, Handwriting lesson (lesson length: 45 min)
• 10 October from 2 to 6 pm, workshop: Test your sports knowledge – Sports Quiz

The campaign was launched by museums and galleries in 2010 on the initiative and in the organisation of the Education and Communication Department of the Slovenian Museums Association.

The campaign Exploring Heritage Through Play aims to promote educational activities in museums and their importance in bringing cultural heritage and museum activities closer to the general public; to increase the visibility of cultural-educational approaches and programmes in museums and galleries; to promote intergenerational integration, discovery of new skills through play, active experience and creativity.
